I am Debbie Roe and I am a BA (Hons) graduate in Retail Marketing, with twelve years
experience in Human Resources for a major multinational company and six and a half
years experience running my own small business in the Yorkshire Dales. During this
time, amongst other things, I managed my own bookkeeping.
After selling the business in 2007 I worked part-time as a bookkeeper and office
manager for a small local business whilst I formalised my experience and studied
for bookkeeping qualifications through the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB).
In 2011 I became an Associate Member of the ICB and launched my freelance bookkeeping
business. Since then my portfolio has increased to provide bookkeeping, payroll
and self assessment tax return services to a wide range of businesses, from small
sole traders to larger limited companies. In 2014 I became a full Member of the
ICB.
My current client portfolio includes a selection of tearooms, bed and breakfast businesses,
public houses, a rental property business, two high street shops, a photography studio,
abattoir and a broad range of small self-employed sole traders.
I use Sage, Xero and VT Transaction+ bookkeeping software, Moneysoft Payroll Manager
and Sage payroll software, and Andica Self Assessment and Partnership software, and
have working experience of other packages.
Beck Cottage Ltd holds a practice license with the ICB (license number 11256) and
has full professional indemnity insurance.
